Bangladesh Meteorological Department (IMD) plays a vital role in supporting both national and international civil aviation sector by providing essential meteorological services prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This Department is a Designated Aeronautical Meteorological Service provider for Bangladesh as required by Annex III to ICAO Convention. This Department is Committed to Provide services for passenger’s comfort, safety as well as Security and efficiency in the Aviation Sector in Compliance with ICAO and WMO Standard. The Mandate of this Department to advice Government on all aspect of Meteorology (Weather & Climate) and also provide services to all various sectors of the national economy.
